This apparatus is designed and manufactured in conformity to ASTM D1831 for determining a sample effectiveness against shear stress caused by the rotation of bearing, namely, how little the sample’s consistency changes when the bearing rotates. The cylinder can be driven at either of two speeds: 10 rpm or 165 rpm, which is simply selectable by a lever as necessary.

hese models are pour and cloud point testers to rapidly and automatically carry out the procedures for pour and cloud point testing as prescribed in the standards of ASTM D97, D2500 and as well as JIS K 2269. The apparatus generally consists of a cooling unit and measuring unit. The cooling unit incorporates a cooling bath and two refrigerators. The measuring unit has a built-in test bath with a compact and special structure made of metal. For the measurement of pour point, the test bath itself is tilted and moved back and forth. The apparatus needs no wide space for installation and operation.

Different from the conventional pour point testing method by which a torque is detected, etc., these models can test the pour point of any sample without disturbing the sample surface. This apparatus is usable for the pour point testing of light and heavy oils as well as lubricants and other kinds of oils. It can detect so accurately any RPC-01CML delicate pour point change caused by the continuous change of viscosity or added amount of pour-point lowering agent. For detection of the cloud point, the apparatus adopts a photo- sensor and glass-fiber light guides in combination to continuously detect the temperatures at which the bottom of a sample-filled test tube becomes clouded. These models can be used to test the cloud point of light oils and some heavy oils

The kinematic viscosity bath Cat. No. 403-162 is designed to measure a kinematic viscosity with Ubbelohde, Cannon-Fenske and Cannon-Fenske reverse-flow type glass capillary viscometers which meet the requirements specified in the Standards ASTM D 445, IP 71 and JIS K 2283. The apparatus is adapted to select preset five test temperatures for easy control of the bath temperature with a high precision.
